The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it is alarmed about the substantial quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The services stage produced for intervention activities a superior influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it tricky status sassa for the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional means to allow the servicing of all consumers and raise usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
